Our Kits

Weave-n-Wonder is created by educator and mom, informed by research, and tested by families.

Kids practice counting, pattern recognition, early coding, and social and emotional skills while making something they can hold and be proud of. The projects and instructions are specifically created to help kids take ownership of their projects, gain confidence, all while weaving and learning math! Each kit comes with multiple projects, each taking about 30 to 60 minutes, which fits easily into busy family schedules. Even on packed days, these small projects make real together time possible, because a busy schedule does not have to crowd out fun and learning.

Our kits come with all supplies and step-by step instructions that walk alongside kids as they begin their Weave-n-Wonder journey – from beginning to mastery. Kits are reusable, portable, and ready to travel to the living room, a classroom, or on a road trip. Bonus they come in fun colors to choose from!

Math & Pre-Coding Skills

Discover how our all-inclusive kits build essential skills in children through hands-on creative learning.

Algorithms and Sequencing

Algorithms and Sequencing

An algorithm is a step-by-step set of instructions for how to do something. The instructions for how to create a woven product—like measuring yarn, threading the needle, and weaving in order—are an algorithm in action.

Pattern Recognition

Pattern Recognition

A pattern is something that repeats in a predictable way. In weaving, a pattern might be "over, under, over, under…" Kids follow and repeat weaving patterns, helping them identify and predict sequences.

Counting & Measurement

Counting & Measurement

Kids count warp threads, weft rows, and measure yarn lengths, reinforcing math concepts such as number sense, spatial reasoning, and units of measurement.

Logical Thinking

Logical Thinking

By following step-by-step instructions and troubleshooting when mistakes happen, kids engage in problem-solving and computational thinking—just like a computer programmer!

Social Emotional Skills

Patience & Persistence

Patience & Persistence

Weaving is a creative process that takes time and care. Through the art of weaving, kids learn to slow down, stay focused, and bounce back from mistakes.

Creativity and Confidence

Creativity and Confidence

Kids can choose their own colors and patterns to make their own weaving creations. Support them to take pride in their work and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness

The rhythmic nature of weaving can be calming, offering a screen-free moment of quiet concentration and creative flow.

Fine Motor Skills

Fine Motor Skills

Threading yarn through the loom and manipulating small materials helps develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity essential for writing and other daily tasks.
